The three regional divisions of STAR

The Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment has three regional divisions located in Roskilde, Odense and Aalborg. The three regional divisions are STAR's regional foundation. In collaboration with STAR's implementation division and other divisions, the role of the three regional divisions is to support the best possible implementation of political reforms in job centres, unemployment insurance funds, etc.

The role of the three regional divisions of STAR is also to support network activities for job centre directors and team managers in the job centres, focusing on the implementation of reforms as well as on improving services for enterprises.

STAR is also responsible for Workindenmark, which is a public employment service for highly qualified international professionals looking for a job in Denmark, and Danish companies searching for talented foreign candidates.

The three Workindenmark centres are located in Copenhagen, Odense and Aarhus. They offer a range of recruitment services to employers and information and guidance regarding job search and other practical matters to foreign jobseekers interested in living and working in Denmark. As of 1 January 2021 the three centres will be joined to create a national centre with its base in the labour market office in Odense, while the offices in Copenhagen and Aarhus will shut down.
