Organisational structure

The Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment (STAR) consists of eight divisions, three regional offices and STAR Brønderslev.

The three regional offices of STAR

The Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment has three regional offices located in Roskilde, Odense and Aalborg. The three regional offices are STAR's regional foundation. In collaboration with STAR's divisions, the role of the three regional offices is to support the best possible implementation of political reforms in job centres, unemployment insurance funds, etc.

The role of the three regional offices of STAR is also to support network activities for job centre directors and team managers in the job centres, focusing on the implementation of reforms as well as on improving services for enterprises.

The regional office located in Odense includes Workindenmark, which is a public employment service for highly qualified and skilled international professionals looking for a job in Denmark, and Danish companies searching for talented foreign candidates. They offer a range of recruitment services to employers and information and guidance regarding job search and other practical matters to foreign jobseekers interested in living and working in Denmark. 

STAR Brønderslev

STAR Brønderslev is responsible for the following areas: airport supervision regarding benefit frauds, subsidy and payment administration regarding unemployment insurance funds, processing cases regarding EEA unemployment benefits, including issuing documents confirming working periods in Denmark for non-insured persons, as well as appeals and guidance regarding unemployment insurance.
